Context
They needed to develop an application that would allow access to all their content in digital format, with the aim of expanding the visibility of their wide range of content and attracting new subscriptions to their magazines.
The problem we had is that we were already late compared to other competitors, some of their content is also for adults so we had to have an age filter, some publications were timeless and each subscription had a different price .
An application was developed that offers access to all digital publications, including adult content. An age verification system was implemented at the start of the application, various subscription plans were offered to suit the needs of users, and the digital platform was actively promoted. These solutions allowed GINmedia to catch up in the digital world, attract new subscribers and provide an accessible and secure experience for its users.
Investigation
It analyzed competition in the digital media market, identified best practices regarding the distribution of online adult content, and collected demographic data and user preferences. Surveys and interviews were conducted with existing readers and usability testing was conducted to ensure an optimal user experience. Additionally, experts in privacy policies and adult content regulations were consulted to ensure regulatory compliance.
Ideation
We worked on the implementation of a solid age filter and parental control, pricing strategies were adapted to accommodate the different publications, a highly usable interface was designed and the corresponding legal regulations were complied with. In addition, an effective marketing strategy was executed to attract new subscribers and a constant monitoring and improvement process was established to ensure an optimal user experience in the digital environment.
Conclusions
The app not only helped them catch up compared to competitors, but also allowed them to attract new subscribers and improve retention of existing ones. The addition of an age filter and parental control guaranteed safe access to adult content, complying with legal requirements.
